This can include setting goals such as minority representation and/or hiring targets, which you can adapt by region. Create a Policy for Sustainable Development Initiatives Draft and publish a company policy that summarizes your organization’s approach to sustainability. Examples include sustainable operations guidelines, emissions targets, or how you incorporate outside initiatives such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals, 1t.org as tactics to live out your values. Establish Employee Resource Groups Support the organization of employee resource groups (ERG) such as a Black Employee Community or Women’s Network based on what is appropriate for your region. ERGs encourage open conversations and awareness of equality issues across different offices and departments. These groups empower any employee to support their peers by becoming informed allies. Implement Recruiting Programs Implement best practices for inclusive hiring at your organization. Beyond hiring practices, develop programs (such as Talent Alliance and Pathfinder) to boost the diversity of your hiring pipeline by offering trainings and expanding your search to a broader set of qualified individuals particularly in areas where remote work can expand your range.
